The concept of Modulary Maintenance aims at optimising the maintenance through a limited appeal to the rolling stock and through the use of a fleet of maintenance modules.The latters lead to an increased rapidity, efficiency and flexibility in work.

Weeding the tracks in the springtime and summertime preserves the stability of the ballast and avoids the losses in grip linked to the presence of grass on the head rail. The weed spraying operations must protect the environment.

The Weedspraying Module is designed to spray up to four different herbicides on the track. The herbicide flow rate is automatically controlled to meet the concentration set by the operator.

The water and herbicide flows are automatically controlled to go with the speed of the train.
