Socofer studied the concept and supplied 5 ready to mount engine retrofitting kits.
Once retrofitted, the DMUs will benefit from highly capable and modern engine kits designed to be use in tropical surroundings. Indeed, the retrofitting kits will be equipped with the MAN D.2842 LE 604 engine.
